EXCLUSIVE: Roberto Pereyra towards Juventus exit, West Ham in pole: the situation

Juventus are not only focused on the signing of new recruits, but the bianconeri are also working to sell some of those players who are considered important but not vital for the future of the club.

Former Inter player Hernanes has took a while to settle in well in Turin and may leave in the summer alongside Simone Zaza and Stefano Sturaro (Crystal Palace are interested in both), two significant soldiers, but not determining generals.

What about Roberto Pereyra? After an outstanding debut season at the J Stadium (52 appearances, six goals and four assists) he failed to live up to expectations this term racking up only 14 appearances and one assist. To be fair, a couple of injuries have mined his consistency but the Argentinean has never proved to be at the same level of the previous campaign this season.

According to CM.com Nicola Balice, Juventus are ready to listen to all offers coming for El Tucmano and sources told calciomercato.com Premier League side West Ham are the club in pole position to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.

Given Angelo Ogbonna’s transfer from the J Stadium to the Boleyn Ground less than one year ago, bianconeri and Hammers are known to be on very good terms, so much so West Ham have already sound out Juventus over Pereyra’s availability.

West Ham will make an opening € 15 million bid in the next few weeks, but the player is also a target of AC Milan, Inter and Valencia. The Spanish side could ask Juve to include the Argentinean in a player-plus swap deal for Mustafi or André Gomes.

The Serie A giants have placed a €20 million price-tag on the former Udinese star
