EXCLUSIVE Romano: Calleri has doubts about Chelsea, Inter to offer €13 million

Inter Milan are hoping to overtake both Chelsea and Chievo in the sweepstakes for Boca talent Jonathan Calleri.
As Fabrizio Romano can reveal, the Nerazzurri are ready to make a 12-13 million offer for the young Xeneizes striker. If they are able to obtain an EU passport for him by January, he could move to Inter before February.

Otherwise, a club in good stead with Inter (say, Chievo) will take him on loan till the end of the season. Javier Zanetti is orchestrating Inter's approach, and is in constant contact with Calleri's agents and entourage.

Though Chelsea are considered to be first in line, the Nerazzurri seem more determine to get him. Mancini likes him, head scout Mirabelli knows everything about him, and Piero Ausilio has been following him for months.

AS Monaco are also in the hunt for the 22-year-old, who has netted 16 goals in 41 league appearances.

Far from looking out of place, Calleri has handled himself well at Boca, despite competition up front from Carlos Tevez and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

And there's a problem with Chelsea: Calleri is afraid of a club that doesn't have a great youth policy, often sending its players on loan and failing togive them much consideration.
