EXCLUSIVE Romano: Napoli reject huge EPL bid for Gabbiadini

    • Fabrizio Romano, (@FabrizioRomano), translated by Edo Dalmonte (@edodalmonte)

Only a crazy offer. That's basically what it'll take to prize Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli, who believe he's untouchable, with Coach Sarri considering him to be a very precious part of his team. With a caveat: he isn't really untouchable, not if the right offer is made.

What kind of an offer? Well, we're talking at least  €25 million, because Napoli don't want to get rid of such a talent, just because the team is doing fabulously right now. What will happen when it isn't?

How do we know this? Well, because Swansea recently offered €22 million to Napoli to bring the Lombard talent to the Premier League.

The former Bologna, Atalanta and Sampdoria player (also co-owned by Juventus) wasn't particularly enthused by the destination. Crystal Palace have also inquired about it, whilst Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund had the temerity to ask for him on loan with a buy-back option, something the Partenopei just won't countenance. His eventual sub, should be leave, would be Ciro Immobile, but it'll take a lot for Il Gabbia to leave Naples.

Who would be up for Manolo? Well, how about Inter, who we've been banging on about for a while. It turns out that Roberto Mancini had him as a priority this summer, having already tried to sign him when he was manager at Galatasaray. Before sealing the deal for Ljajic, Inter tried to sign Gabbiadini with an offer of over €20 million, with Ghoulam also in the conversation. Nothing doing. Trouble is, 25 is simply too much for the Beneamata , who believe in Ljajic, and are thinking about how to sign him from Roma.
