EXCLUSIVE Romano: Milan to meet Vazquez's agents again

    • Fabrizio Romano, translated by Marco Gori
AC Milan are working hard to strengthen their squad over the coming transfer window, but may have to wait until next summer if they want Palermo's Franco Vazquez. As reported in the last weeks, the Rossoneri are keen on the Palermo attacking midfielder, but Rosanero Maurizio Zamparini has no intention to let the 25-year-old leave in January.

The Argentine-born Italian player is a target also for other Italian and foreign clubs, but Milan remain his most likely destination, and want to remain so. For this reason, Chief Executive Adriano Galliani will meet El Mudo’s agents in the coming weeks. His plan is to find an agreement in January and sign the player in June.

Moreover, the Rossoneri are ready to offer a new contract to 26-year-old midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura: the former Atalanta player is becoming one of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s cornerstones, but his salary is one of the lowest of the whole team.
