Exclusive: the truth on Cuadrado’s Arsenal links

Juventus star Juan Cuadrado had been heavily linked with joining Arsenal in the summer but according to our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano the Gunners never really wanted to sign the Colombian as Wenger never made a concrete offer to sign the former Chelsea star.

The Old Lady received to offers in the summer: one from Psg and the other one from Roma. The Ligue 1 giants wanted to sign Cuadrado to potentially replace Lucas Moura, whilst Roma targeted the Colombian in an attempt to strengthen their attacking department.

Juventus boss Max Allegri, however, blocked Cuadrado’s exit as he told the club’s board the Colombian is too important for the bianconeri and that they shouldn’t have sold him at any price.

Juventus were reported to have slapped a € 30 million price-tag on the talented winger but his market value is now much more than that and Juventus, however, do not want to sell their star, they’ve never really wanted.
