Father leaves door open to Donnrumma staying at AC Milan

Gigio Donnarumma’s decision of not extending his contract with AC Milan has created many controversies. The Italian goalkeeper, however, could still decide to sign a contract extension with the rossoneri as both Mino Raiola and Marco Fassone have refused to rule out that the player’s future could still be at the San Siro.

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella is also trying to persuade the player. Yesterday he met Donnarumma’s family at their home in Castellammare di Stabia and the father of Donnarruma has left the door open to Donnarumma possible stay at AC Milan.

“I hope the noise of media will lower soon, we won’t influence Gigio’s decision, we only want him to be happy as we want the best for him.”

Donnarumma’s contract runs until 2018. The U21 Italy International is said to be a transfer target of Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United although the Merengues are reported to be leading the race to sign the 18-year-old.
