Florenzi can return to training in 90 days says, surgeon says

Alessandro Florenzi underwent knee surgery today after picking up an ACL tear in AS Roma’s 3-1 win to Sassuolo on Wednesday night.

The operation’s surgeon Pier Paolo Mariani gave an update on Florenzi’s physical shape after the surgery and spoken some very encouraging words for all the fans of AS Roma and Italy.

“The surgery was successful, there have been no surprises and Florenzi is a very positive guy which is a very good thing indeed.”

“Most of our staff supports Lazio, so they have an appointment for the Rome derby now.”

“A player who’s focusing on the date of his comeback has already started to recover. The psychological aspect is always very important for a doctor, because he knows that the patient is determined [to get over his injury].”

“It usually takes 90 days for the player to return to training, but then it is up to the club’s medical staff to decide when to deploy him in the pitch. These are technical evaluation which I don’t really understand. Keeping fingers crossed, Spalletti could have Florenzi back in 90 days.”0
