OPINION: Brocchi and Di Francesco not ready for Milan

The future of AC Milan current boss Sinisa Mihajlovic seems to be away from San Siro: not even the victory of the Tim Cup final could save the Serbian tactician from the sacking. The 46-year-old is still followed by his team, but the club’s president Silvio Berlusconi wants to invest in a different profile.

The two main candidates for the rossoneri’s bench are Sassuolo’s Eusebio Di Francesco and the former Milan midfielder Cristian Brocchi, who is currently coaching the rossoneri’s youth team.

Brocchi could follow the path of Filippo Inzaghi and renew Milan’s tradition of discovering new coaches.

Di Francesco is definitely more experienced than Brocchi, but he would have to work in a difficult situation, as Berlusconi is not intentioned to make great investments, and such situation resulted harmful for many coaches.

Moreover, Mihajlovic has succeeded in keeping the group united: how could the current coaches of Sassuolo and the “Primavera” gain the respect of the dressing room?
