Former Arsenal man Vermaelen too expensive for Roma
There's a problem, however: despite Radja Nainggolan tipping him to the Giallorossi front office, his salary is just too high: Roma do not intend to pay him the €4 million a year he earns at the Nou Camp.
It's a pity, as Vermaelen isn't having a bad Euro 2016, is left-footed... and could slot in to replace Antonio Rudiger, who will likely be out four more months due to his ACL tear.
