Former Barcelona starlet ‘close to signing’ for Chelsea

Former Barcelona starlet Adama Traore is reported to be close to signing for Chelsea. Catalan paper Sport reports the Blues are being heavily linked with signing the 21-year-old and adds that Middlesbrough are planning to sell the former Barça starlet alongside Marten De Roon and Gaston Ramirez, two former Serie A stars.

Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of Traore who only registered one assist in 32 appearances in all competitions with Middlesbrough during the 2016/17 campaign.

Traore could be Chelsea’s surprising signing for this summer transfer campaign although the Blues are being linked with many other right wingers such as Dani Alves who is edging closer to leaving Juventus. The Brazilian is going to leave Juventus in the summer but is also being chased by Manchester City.
