Former Chelsea target fails AC Milan medical amid age controversy

Former Chelsea target Franck Kessié is having the third part of his medical today ahead of a potential summer move to AC Milan.

The Ivorian failed the first part of his medical (held in Milan yesterday) and although no official statements have yet been released by the rossoneri, a report of Afrique Press tries to give an explanation to Kessie’s failed medical.

According to the reliable African source, medical tests have proved that the player is older than 20 year old and that’s why AC Milan have decided to make the player have further medical tests yesterday evening and today.

Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that Kessie’s having today’s medical in a different clinic than the one he visited yesterday. AC Milan have not confirmed the report and calciomercato.com is working on the case to let you have further news as soon as we get them. The deal, however, is not collapsed yet as the player is still having medical examination.

What we know so far is that Kessie has already been accused of faking his age a few years ago. Back in 2013, the Moroccan FA said the player was born on the 1st of January 1991 and not on the 9th of December 1996 trying to prove the player’s age with the his profile page published by the Ivorian FA in their official website (picture above).
