Former Coach: Juventus striker Higuain 'never gives 100%'

A former Napoli fitness Coach has called out Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain for a presumed lack of effort.

Now at Juventus, it’s far from controversial to suggest that the striker isn’t popular around the San Paolo.

“Higuain could even be the best player in the world if he was as strong with his head as he was technically, Corrado Saccone told Radio CRC (via Il Mattino), “He has fantastic technical and physical qualities, but doesn’t make the most of them”.

Saccone now works for Partizani, in Albania, but was in Naples long enough to watch a number of other elite athletes walk through the doors:

“I’m speaking of motivation, he knows he’s good and he sometimes takes the foot off the gas: even in training he doesn’t give 100%, while Cavani and Lavezzi gave 200%”.

Higuain, who is set to start again this weekend against Pescara straight off the interntional break, has been lampooned on many an occasion for his lack of fitness.
