Former director of sport confirms that he wanted to bring Totti at AC Milan

AC Milan tried to sign Francesco Totti when Ariedo Braida was serving at the club as director of sport. It is Braida himself to reveal that he wanted to bring the man that turns 40 today at the San Siro.

“Whoever loves football must love Totti too”, Braida told Tele Radio Stereo.

“I wanted to bring him at AC Milan, but he had already made his choice: he wanted to stay at AS Roma for the rest of his life.”

Braida, who is currently working at Barcelona as responsible for International signings, had been working at AC Milan from 1986 until 2013, covering the role of director of sport from 2002.

“I wish him happy birthday and I hope he will carry on living his moments without thinking about what it could have been if he had made different choices. Happy birthday Francesco.”
