    Former Juventus defender Caceres has trial with Inter

    Inter strengthen midfield and attack in the summer transfer window signing the likes of Ever Banega, Joao Mario, Antonio Candreva and Gabigol. During the incoming winter transfer window, they will be looking for at least a couple of new defenders to improve their defensive pack.

    Frank De Boer needs one new fullback at least and the nerazzurri might also chase a centre-back who can pick up the baton of Joao Miranda and Jaison Murillo.

    Benfica ade Lindelof and Matteo Darmian are known to be the club’s priority targets in January but another player could join Inter even before the winter transfer window opens.

    Former Juventus and Barcelona defender Martin Caceres is going to train with the rest of Inter squad so that Frank De Boer’s staff can keep a close eye on his shape given that the Uruguay International has yet to play an official game since he picked up an injury at the beginning of 2016.

    Caceres, 29, can play as right-back and centre-back and has played for Sevilla as well as for Juventus and Barcelona.
