Foxes want £35m for Roma, Arsenal target

Riyad Mahrez wants a move away from Leicester City, and has reached an agreement with Roma, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 2015-2016 Premier League champions has been linked with a move to Roma, while Arsenal and Monaco are also interested.

Mahrez wants a new adventure, and has told the Foxes as much, but they won’t let him go for anything less than £35 million (€40m).

Recent reports from Italy revealed that Roma had only offered £20 million, but that the two clubs were still in regular contact.

The Giallorossi would need a replacement for Mo Salah, who left for Liverpool this summer.

Roma had previously tried to act smooth, with owner James Pallotta telling inquisitive reports that he didn’t even know who the 26-year-old was, saying “Mahrez who?”.

It sounds like Roma are going to keep trying, but only at a price that is convenient to them. This may not end up happily for either side.
