Abandoned by Sergio Conceiçao, Nantes directors are looking for their new coach for next season. As they write in France, chairman Kita met in Paris with Claudio Ranieri, among those on the list for the succession of Portuguese for the Nantes bench. The Italian tactician is the memorable winner of the English Premier League two seasons ago with Leicester City, before he was dismissed this season after a less impressive run of results.

This would not be Ranieri’s first stint in France, he was on the sidelines for Monaco for two seasons starting in 2012. Other clubs have approached the Italian as well, and it will be yet be seen how much Nante can convince Claudio to leave England. The 65 year old is thought to be ready to return to coaching soon, and with Monaco and PSG already taking Ligue 1 by storm, it would be interesting to see if Ranieri could emulate his time at Leicester in France...
