French star target satirizes reports linking him to City

Benjamin Mendy doesn’t seem to be so sure that he’s moving to Manchester City yet.

A recent report from SFR Sport claimed that he had flown to Manchester recently to settle the last details of his deal with the Sky Blues.

The French international reacted in a hilarious way, posting a picture of himself going for a ride around the sunny Principality… then satirizing the reports which had him staying in Manchester.

“Manchester’s changed, hasn’t it? Calm down lol”, the 22-year-old tweeted.

The Monaco star has also been targeted by the likes of Juventus, who were reported to want to replace him if Alex Sandro headed out the door, something confirmed by director Giuseppe Marotta:

"For Alex Sandro, Chelsea made a very high bid (€60 million). We said no, but today players are masters of themselves,” Marotta confirmed.

The rampaging full-back is part of the talented Monaco squad which won the Ligue 1 title this season, contributing eight assists in all competitions himself, as well as a goal.
