Reports from France claim that Paris Saint-Germain officials have met with the father of Argentinean superstar Lionel Messi. RTL claims that the clubs Sporting Director, Patrick Kluivert, has held informal discussions with Jorge Messi to find out the situation regarding his son and Barcelona.
 

There have been a number of recent reports linking the 29-year-old to a shock move away from Barcelona despite club President Josep Bartomeu stating that he will be personally in charge of negotiating an extension to his current deal which expires in the summer of 2018.  Whispers coming out of the club suggest otherwise however and with his team sitting six points behind leaders Real Madrid ahead of Saturday’s first Clasico of the season, Messi could be open to a move away from the Camp Nou.  

Premier League side Manchester City have already been linked with an astonishing £200 million bid to try to reunite Messi with his former mentor Pep Guardiola. The French champions however, have always looked likely to be the club that could temp the player away from Catalunya.
