From Pogba to Vidal and Coman: listing Juventus’ big money deals
PAUL POGBA – He signed for the Old Lady in summer 2012, moving from Manchester United on a free transfer. Four years later, the Frenchman has walked down the opposite path for € 105 million in the most expensive transfer in the history of the game. Juventus have ‘just’ cashed in € 73 million as Mino Raiola had right to a € 27 million commission, but the Pogba deal remains one of the most impressive in football’s history.
ARTURO VIDAL – The Chile International joined Juventus in 2011 for € 10.5 million plus € 2 million bonus. The Serie A giants had managed to steal him from under Bayern Munich’s noses before selling him to the Bundesliga giants for € 40 million four years later.
CIRO IMMOBILE – A product of Juventus academy, Immobile has never made Serie A debut with the Old Lady who, however, managed to get € 12 million from his sale to Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
KINGSLEY COMAN – Marotta and Paratici managed to get the Frenchman signature paying nothing but leaving PSG so furious that the two clubs are still not on good terms. Juventus bought Coman in 2014 and sold him one year later for € 28 million to Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have paid € 7 million for Coman’s two-season loan and are likely to make his move permanent at the end of the season for € 21 million.
DOMENICO BERARDI – The talented winger has never played for Juventus, but Sassuolo have signed him from Juventus for € 11 million. The Old Lady now wants Berardi back and could nab him for € 25 million next summer.
ALVARO MORATA - Real Madrid activated the player’s buy-back clause last summer even if Juventus wanted to keep the Spaniard at the J Stadium. The Serie A outfit signed Morata in 2014 for € 20 million and sent him back to the Bernabeu two years later for € 30 million after that Morata had netted 27 goals in 93 games with the Old Lady.
