    FROM SPAIN: Inter vs Roma for Vermaelen

    After the arrival of Samuel Umtiti, the 30-year-old center back Thomas Vermaelen won’t have many chances to stay at Barcelona. The Belgian international joined the blaugrana two years ago, but he never got many chances to play.

    Despite many injuries, the former Arsenal man is still a reliable defender; according to Sport, both AS Roma and Inter Milan are interested in the player. To let him go, the Liga defending champions ask for €10 million, while the two Italian clubs have offered €8 million.

    The two parties will meet again, however, Vermaelen would agree to a transfer to the Serie A.
