    FROM SPAIN: Vermaelen about to join Roma

    Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen is about to join AS Roma: as reported by Sport, the giallorossi will pay a €10m transfer fee, while the player will earn €3,5 million per season.
     
    The Italian club has decided to bet on the 31-year-old after the injury suffered by Antonio Rudiger; the Belgian international didn’t get many chances to play at the blaugrana because of some injuries but also because he never earned Luis Enrique’s confidence.
