Galeone: 'I think Allegri will move to Chelsea, no point staying in Italy'

A respected Italian manager and longtime friend thinks Max Allegri will move to Chelsea.

Giovanni Galeone is known as an innovator, for preaching zonal defence and playing three up front.

He coached Allegri for seven years, earning “two promotions and many happy memories” as he revealed in a previous interview.
Having taught his former pupil a great many things, Galene has also remained in contact with the former Cagliari gaffer.

Speaking to Radio Radio, Galeone told of Allegri’s future. Calciomercato’s own Luca Borioni broke the story that the former Milan coach was headed to Chelsea, to which Galeone responded.

“Allegri is doing incredible things, if you consider that Juventus didn’t get him any of the players he asked for during the summer transfer window: including Goetze and Isco.

“Allegri is definitely one of the Top 5 coaches in the world. We’ll see what Mourinho does next, whilst Ancelotti and Guardiola have already moved. I honestly think he’ll go to Chelsea, and do well. There’s no point in staying in Italy. I repeat, I think he’ll leave Juventus, I see him succeeding in England”.
