Geoffrey Kondogbia edges closer to Inter exit after meeting with Marseille president

Geoffrey Knodogbia is close to leaving Inter in the January transfer window. According to reports from France, the Frenchman has recently met Marseille’s president Jacques-Henri Eyraud who wants to bring the former AS Monaco star back to France.

Kondogbia moved to Inter in summer 2015 in a € 31 million deal, but has failed to justify his price-tag during his spell at the club. The 23-year-old midfielder has also been struggling with game time this season having only played 310 minutes under old manager Frank De Boer and Pioli’s arrival is not going to make any difference for the French midfielder who has lot of competition for a spot in Inter’s starting XI.

Marseille could offer Inter just as much as they invested in summer 2015 to take Kondogbia from AS Monaco and the player is reportedly happy to return to France to play for a big side like Marseille.

The January transfer window is just around the corner, just like Geoffrey Gondogbia’s Inter exit.
