EXCLUSIVE Agent: Giuseppe Rossi 'can't go on like this' at Fiorentina

    • Daniele Longo (@86_longo), translated by Edo Dalmonte (@edodalmonte)
It is increasingly apparent that Giuseppe Rossi's future will be away from Florence.

The former Manchester United youth (and Sir Alex Ferguson's protege), wants to play regularly, having recovered from two horrific knee injuries that have limited his playing time over the past few three seasons.

With the plane to France 2016 firmly in his sights, the ex Villareal player is unhappy with the limited opportunities he is getting at the Artemio Franchi.

His agent, Federico Pastorello, speaks EXCLUSIVELY to CM.COM to explain his client's point of view:

Rossi isn't breaking into Fiorentina's starting XI. Could he leave in January?
We need to make something clear: we are not currently engaged in any negotiations relative to a sale. I've read of a number of clubs' presumed interest in Pepito, from Palermo to Empoli. The truth is that I'm speaking to a few clubs. Our relationship with Fiorentina is very cordial, but we can't take six more months like this.

Have Fiorentina warmed to an eventual departure?
Rossi is very attached to Fiorentina, and the club doesn't want to sell him. My client wants to play more, but I had to tell him that at the moment that would be impossible at Fiorentina.
It's pretty obvious that he's getting very little playing time, and that the club is opting for other players. I certainly don't wish to call the club's technical decisions into question. If some offers were to arrive I would try to convince the club to take them into consideration. I assume - albeit serenely - all responsability in handling the case. It's not an easy situation, but we can find a solution together that is positive for all involved.

Could Bologna be an interesting solution?
So far we have yet to enter negotiations with anyone, and chairmen are strange, they are known to wake up in the morning and make the call. Empoli are going wtrong and an expensive investment doesn't make sense at the moment, even from a financial point perspective. Bologna would have to change their formation in order to accommodate him. I know they're looking for a winger, one would have to understand the market too.

I can't confirm anything with regards to Palermo and Real Betis.
