Goodbye agents: Bruno Alves and Griezmann opt not to have one

Times are changing fast, especially in football. Players’ agents are claiming the spotlight alongside their clients, sometime they are even more popular than them.

On the other hand, some other times, there are players who decide not to hire any agent. Take Bruno Alves and Griezmann by instance. The EURO 2016 Champion moved to Cagliari in a free transfer last summer. Newly promoted Serie A side’s president Giulini has told a local newspaper that that negotiation has been the best of his life.

Why? Simple: “We finalize the deal after one face-to-face meeting at Wembley stadium. Football would be better if all negotiations could be like this, though I respect a lot every players’ agent”, Giulini said.
As we also reported earlier today, Antoine Griezmann has also decided to cut short the contract with the company that previously owned his economic rights. “I am not going to have an agent from now on”, the French star told L’Equipe.

“However, I will always take decisions alongside my dad and my mentor Eric Olhats.”

Whoever wants to sign him now, must talk with the Petite Diable only from now on.
