International agent Peppino Tirri believes Roma should make an effort to sign Fredy Guarin from Porto. The Colombian midfielder has been linked to Juventus and Inter but may stay in Portugal unless the Giallorossi step in.

“In terms of style and skill, Guarin is perfect for Roma,” Tirri told Tele Radio Stereo 92.7.

“The Giallorossi tried to sign him last summer but Porto wanted €15M. Now he would be a little less expensive although it is still a difficult job to sign him.

“I knew Juve wouldn’t have signed him because the rumours were about a loan deal with an option to buy. But when Porto sell a player, they do it for good,” added Tirri.

The Giallorossi have also been linked to Bosingwa from Chelsea and are about to sign Marquinho from Fluminense.

“Josè Bosingwa will be a free agent in the summer and is looking for a new team. Roma usually go for younger players, but at this price they may have a go,” explained the agent.

“Marquinho should be an excellent player. If Roma sign him we must trust Walter Sabatini on this one.”
