REPORT: How Conte helped steer De Rossi back to stardom, away from MLS

It's official: Daniele De Rossi is back to his old self, at least if his two performances at Euro 2016 with the Azzurri shirt are anything to go by.

Far from his best self this season, it looked like DDR was on his way out at Roma, as he himself admitted in an Italy press conference today.

"When Roma were winning without me people said: it's done, we've got rid of him...".

Instead, De Rossi overcame his injury struggles and returned his best... thanks to a certain Antonio Conte. The former Juventus Coach was very direct about telling De Rossi that he was counting on him for the European Championships, and his cure seemed to have worked wonders.

Now, it appears that Captain Future, 32, wants to take Roma back, too. He'd recently evaluated the possibility of moving to the MLS... but it now appears that it's no longer on the cards, at least not until next year.

We can only hope that this streak continues... for club and country.
