Icardi’s agent to meet Arsenal next week to discuss potential transfer
According to Sky Italia, Icardi’s agent (and wife) Wanda Nara will meet Arsenal next week in order to discuss a potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
Inter president Erick Thohir has insisted that the Argentinean is not for sale, but with negotiations for the player’s contract extension which are still on hold, Wanda Nara is pushing to find the best solution for Icardi’s future as soon as possible.
The 23-year-old’s contract with Inter runs until 2019, but the player has asked a one-year-contract extension with pay rise.
Wanda Nara revealed the player’s requests talking exclusively to calciomercato.com last week. Icardi moved from Sampdoria to Inter in a € 13 million transfer in 2013. The Argentinean has scored 52 goals in 105 games with Inter since then.
Arsenal are looking for a new striker for the next campaign and after Jamie Vardy’s snub they are interested in welcoming the services of at least one between Icardi and Higuain. The Argentinean duo is also chased by Juventus.
