Imminent contract extension of Napoli star still leaves room for Chelsea and Liverpool hopes

Napoli star Fauozi Ghoulam is going to sign a contract extension with the partenopei during the International break, today’s edition of Tuttosport reports.

The Algeria International has reached a verbal agreement regarding his salary and his contract length. His current agreement at the San Paolo expires in 2018 and several top European clubs are being linked with signing him as a free agent if Ghoulam fails to pen a new deal.

​Ghoulam is being linked with moves to Liverpool and Chelsea but both European clubs could fail to sign the player as a free agent at the end of the season.

​Ghoulam, in fact, will pen a new deal  with release clause and even if he won’t be available for free any interested club could still sign him paying his release clause at the end of the season.

Tuttosport, in fact, confirms a double release clause will be included in the player’s new deal. There will be, in fact, two fees included in the player’s new deal. The first one is € 40 million and is valid for the 10th richest clubs in the world, the second, between € 30 and € 35 million will be valid for all the other clubs.
