There are reports today connect Crystal Palace to an Italian defender who would be returning to England and the Premier League after two years with Inter. According to the latest in England, Crystal Palace are interested in the Nerazzurri’s Davide Santon, who would thus return to play under his former coach Frank De Boer, who was recently appointed as the new boss for the Premier League side.

The 26 year old, formerly of Newcastle United, has spent the past two season in Serie A with Inter, playing a revolving door game between the two clubs from 2011-2015. Santon deputises as a left back, and will be keen to move on from Inter after only starting in 11 games with the Nerazzurri this past season. Interestingly, Santon featured more regularly for De Boer than he did with Pioli, and a hamstring injury late in the season also hampered his availability. His versatility to be able to play on both the left and the right side of defense makes him an attractive candidate for Crystal Palace, and he is reportedly worth nearly 5 million EUR.
