Inter dwarfed by Chelsea, Man United in race for James Rodriguez

Manchester United are not alone in their hunt for James Rodriguez.

The Daily Express write that the Red Devils have been joined in the hunt by Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

Rodriguez isn’t playing anywhere near as much as he was expecting at Real Madrid, even travelling to Turin towards the end of last season to talk to Juventus, though he came away without an agreement.

Who else is in the race? How about Inter Milan, whom James recently admitted had chased him, but that he had “decided to stay at Real”.

Rodriguez scored 13 La Liga goals and provided as many assists in the 2014/2015 season, having joined the Merengues for 80m. Monaco had paid 45m for him only a few years before, in 2013.

Since then, however, James has only started 20 Liga games, including a mere three this season.

Rodriguez first came to prominence during the 2014 World Cup, netting five times for Colombia.
