Inter, Icardi says Man Utd target Perisic ‘can leave’ if not happy

Inter striker Mauro Icardi has talked to Premium Sport during the nerazzurri summer training camp in Riscone di Brunico.

The Argentinean hit-man did talk about several issues, from the new manager Luciano Spalletti to his teammate Ivan Perisic who is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

“We haven’t talked about transfers. You don’t really talk about this stuff in the locker room. However, he must do what makes him happy, if he is not happy here he must go somewhere else. Spalletti said the same thing.”

“I don’t care about how many goals I will score next season. Twenty or thirty is the same thing, I want to help the team.”

“I am still injured but I can recover by the beginning of next week. We are focused on our target which is the Champions League, we have an important year ahead of us.”

As for Spalletti, Icardi said: “He has already told us what he wants and we’ve all understood him. He defended Ranocchia and I am happy for that because a manager must defend his players all the times. The club must do the same because we are working hard and it is not nice to hear criticisms of fans.”
