    Inter-Juve for Berardi, Squinzi; "Choice postponed because he doesn't feel ready"

    Ahead of their Europa League debut on Thursday against Lucerne, Sassuolo President Giorgio Squinzi has been talking to La Gazzetta dello Sport. He was asked if striker Domenico Berardi was his best ever purchase to which he replied; "Yes for sure. I've always stated this. He feels attatched to the team and coach (Eusebio) Di Francesco.He's a boy with exceptional talent who has underperformed so far".

    When it was put to the patron that the 21-year-old has already had opportunities to join big clubs such as Juventus and Inter but has instead, chosen to stay with the neroverdi, Squinzi explained that; "Perhaps he has not felt ready to take such a big step-up in his career. He needs to play with continuity and they could'nt guarantee that of course. We'll talk again in a years time".
