Not only Marco Verratti; the powers that be at Inter have recognised that whilst the Italian midfielder may be a transfer target in the future, the central areas of the team needs strengthening in January.

It’s another midfielder of PSG however, that could well be the more realistic option for the nerazzurri. Gregorz Krychowiak has been closely monitored by Inter officials in recent weeks and an assault in January is now possible. With both Kondogbia and Brozovic likely to bid farewell to the club in the new year and likely to be used in any potential bid to try to bring Verratti to the San Siro, spaces in the central areas will be available; the former Sevilla man may be the first name on the list to fill one of those spaces.
