    Inter, Medel's agent is set to arrive: the latest on his contract renewal

    Gary Medel picked up an injury but he is still an important piece of Stefano Pioli's Inter. His contract is set to expire but Inter have already been in contact with his agent as they want to renew his deal. There will soon be other future contacts between both parties as they expect to meet each other by the end of December 2016. The talks are in a pretty advanced stage as they now have to decide whether to renew his deal till 2020 or 2021. His salary will likely get a slight increase, going from 1.6 million euros to 2 million euros (with bonuses). Medel has already given his approval to stay on with inter as a contract renewal is being worked out between both parties....

    Inter are currently 8th in the Italian Serie A standings. Gary Medel has appeared in 13 games so far this season for Inter as he has been pretty solid for them.
