Inter reject Man Utd’s Perisic bid as Martial talks intensify

Manchester United are still trying to sign Inter star Ivan Perisic who is reportedly pushing to join the Old Trafford after reaching an agreement with the Red Devils.
The Croatian star is a long time target of José Mourinho but Inter only want to sell the former Wolfsburg on their conditions.

According to Sky Sport, the Serie A giants have rejected Man Utd’s € 46 million bid plus € 4 million in bonuses. Inter want € 55 million and are not open to sell the player for a lower fee unless the Red Devils accept to include Anthony Martial in a potential swap deal.

The Italian broadcasters claim Inter have already made contact with the player’s entourage and add that Martial has given his green light to move to the San Siro although economic terms have yet to be discussed. Martial wants to play first team football and Inter would give him a chance to shine in a top European club.

Our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, however, has told Sky Sport that the Red Devils are not open to add Martial in a player-plus cash swap deal and that they don’t want to sell him on loan either.

Talks between the two clubs will be ongoing in the coming days, meantime West Ham have made a huge opening bid to sign Keita Balde who has emerged as another possible replacement of Perisic should the Croat eventually move to the Old Trafford.
