Davide Santon has found little space at Inter this season. A total of just 12 appearances has him seriously considering his future and despite his love of the club and the city, his future looks to be elsewhere.
 

During the winter, he was the subject of interest from Sampdoria, Bologna and even Roma but these tracks no longer seem open. The road that is still available is the one heading back to England and a return to the Premier League. Contacts with Watford have remained ongoing and the Hornets are big admirers of the player and as calciomercato.com reported previously, Gino Pozzo is trying to get the deal done within 15 days. Next week, Watford representatives will meet to set out the club’s transfer strategy and Santon will be anxiously waiting for news.  

The Hornets are also looking to change their coach and as Sanchez Flores departs, former Inter and Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri remains the favourite to replace him. The 54-year-old has asked for Santon in the past when he was in charge at Napoli, and Inter are expected to fix a price of €5 million for their defender.
