Inter still after Man United, but he costs €45m
The Dutch midfielder has played a starring role this season, as the Giallorossi have secured second place, the Oranje man scoring six goals and adding seven assists in all competitions.
There’s a problem, however: he has a €45 million release clause in the new deal he recently signed. His new contract will keep him at Roma until 2022.

Then again, it doesn’t look like the Dutchman wants to go anywhere, sounding rather loyal about the fact that Roma stuck by him when two straight cruciate injuries wiped out two seasons’ worth of football.
“To renew is a special moment for me,” Strootman said. “I want to win something with this club. Everyone stood by me when I had my injuries and this is the reason I want to stay”.
