Inter to clear out Handanovic and the Balkan contingent... except for Perisic

Remember when excited Inter fans labelled their team Inter-ic at the beginning of the season, with the team boasting the likes of Samir Handanovic, Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, Stefan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic?

Things seem to have changed quickly... and for the worse, at least for some.

Stefan Jovetic has argued with Mancini and been inconsistent, despite showing flashes of promise. He will bought out from Manchester City, but likely sold on immediately, likely at a loss.

Adem Ljajic is considered too up-and-down, too, and his €11-million (non compulsory) buyout clause won't be excercised, leaving the Serb to return to parent club Roma.

With Nemanja Vidic retiring and Samir Handanovic tempted by European football, Inter have lost two more of the YugoslavInter contingent, with the talented goalkeeper rumoured to be leaving the San Siro for a paltry €15 million, according to Tuttosport. He is, apparently, considered to be replaceable.

Who else is left? Marcelo Brozovic has shown signs of brilliance, but they may well be exploited to sell the Croat onto a Premier League club (Arsenal or Chelsea) for €25 million.

The only untouchable player is Ivan Perisic, who showed in the second half of the season that he can be a force of nature, and on a consistent basis, too. Bought from Wolfsburg for €16 million, he is considered one of the key elements around which Roberto Mancini wants to build for next season.
