Inter to make 50 million move for Bayern star

As we enter the final week of July, Inter chiefs are ready to gift new coach Luciano Spalletti some big money signings to add to his squad. After a meeting to discuss the club’s transfer strategy took place on Sunday, the first of those names, Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino looks to be heading to the club from Fiorentina for a fee of around €24M. The 25-year-old looks set to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours before joining his new squad.

The second name on that list however, is Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. Spalletti has told club owners Suning that to challenge for honours and a place in the Champions League from 2018, he needs a player of true quality with characteristics to take the Nerazzurri to the next level. The 30-year-old has the profile that fits and Inter are reportedly ready to table a €50M bid for his services.

His current boss in Bavaria, Carlo Ancelotti, is keen for Vidal to remain at the Bundesliga champions; the retirement of Xabi Alonso and the continuing injury problems for Thiago Alcantara makes the Chilean international indispensable at the present time. Inter however, will try to convince Bayern to sell the former Juventus star.
