Inter transfer news: Nerazzurri want to steal Berardi under Juventus’ noses

As we previously reported, Inter have joined race to sign Juventus target Domenico Berardi.

Juventus and Sassuolo have a gentleman agreement to bring the Italian starlet to the J Stadium this summer for a fee of € 25 million, but it is the player to have the last word and Berardi doesn’t seem to be too convinced to play for Juve at the moment, a team where he would initially struggle to play on a regular basis like his former teammate Simone Zaza.

This morning’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport reports Berardi would be happy to join Roberto Mancini’s Inter instead. The 21-year-old striker is a Nerazzurri fan and would snatch the starter status straight after joining the San Siro. Adem Ljajic could be proposed in a player-plus cash swap deal with Sassuolo.

Lazio wantaway Antonio Candreva has also been linked with a move to Inter, though he’d only move in case the club would qualify for the Champions League, while Inter would be forced to sell Ivan Perisic without the incomes from Europe’s elite tournament, but Erik Thohir would ask at least € 25 million to let the Croatian star leaving.

Ever Banega has racked up 30 appearances with Sevilla, but he won’t extend his stay at the Stadio Sanchez Pizjuan, signing with Inter instead. The Argentinean star would have to pay a € 1 million fine for breaking the contract clause which allowed his club to extend  the player’s stay after his 30th seasonal appearance.

Director of Sport Piero Ausilio was at the Calderon yesterday night to scout Jeffrey Bruma and former Genoa winger Maxime Lestienne, both playing for PSV Eindhoven.

The Ererdivise giants faced Champions League elimination on penalties at hands of Atletico Madrid yesterday night. The Colchoneros are interested in signing Inter star Mauro Icardi, but the Argentinean hit-man has already refused a move to the Calderon twice.

“He’s a great player, but we are only focused on the present and not on the future”, Atletico’s DS José Luis Camimero said yesterday after his side qualified to the Champions League quarter finals for the third successive season.
