Inter update: forget Nani, Candreva is Mancini's man

"Neither myself, Fenerbahce or my agent have received any offers, I'm happy here and I'm focussed in doing well in Turkey. Then again, if Fenerbahce reach an agreement with another club, I wouldn't say no. I'd like to play for Inter".

Remember when Nani spoke these words just before Portugal's friendly against Belgium? They stirred up quite the storm in Italy, with the player having been approached on a number of occasions by the Nerazzurri in the past. Could this finally lead somewhere?

Not according to our sources close to the former Manchester United player, who have made it clear that a move to the San Siro would simply be impracticable. Then again, the Nerazzurri have definitively veered towards Antonio Candreva, who is very much appreciated by Coach Roberto Mancini.

The Jesi coach wants players who know Serie A well, as he was a tad burned by the amount of time Ivan Perisic and Kondogbia needed (or need, in the latter's case) to get acclimatized.

Mancini has therefore told sporting director Piero Ausilio that he wants the Lazio player, who is seeking pastures new and a fresh challenge.
