Is Luiz Adriano Milan's secret weapon?
Briefly a Jiangsu Suning player this winter before backing out of his move to the Chinese Premier League, Luiz Adriano's return to AC Milan has been comparatively uneventful.
Now, however, strike partner Carlos Bacca is on the fritz, to use a colloquial term. It is not a coincidence that the Colombian star's gour-game scoring streak coincides with M'Baye Niang's car accident, and consequent two-month layoff.
Know what else may not be a coincidence? The fact that out of four home games, Bacca and Adriano have only failed to score once when starting together. Though they haven't played together as of January 9th, the two began the season on the starting sheet, scoring five together.
Sunday, they face Lazio at home. Could it be the turning point for the Colombian? Sinisa Mihajlovic certainly thinks so.
