Is Paulo Sousa heading for divorce with Fiorentina?
The Portuguese Coach’s relationship with the staff has deteriorated gradually over the last few months, with Fiorentina’s lack of ambition a constant source of frustration for the former Swansea Coach.
Despite reaching a tentative agreement with Director of Sport Pantaleo Corvino and a precarious non-aggression pact with president Cognigni, Sousa doesn’t ever seem to have seen eye-to-eye with the front office, particularly with former director Vincenzo Guerini and director of communication Elena Turra.
There’s more: it appears that the Viola have already found a candidate to replace Sousa, someone who has generally obtained results in adverse circumstances: Stefano Pioli.
The former Lazio Coach is seen as a quiet Coach who keeps his opinions to himself, and a safe pair of hands.
