"Only those who have lived in Belgrade can really understad why and what happened". Walter Zenga, interviewed by calciomercato.com, gave his opinion on Italy-Serbia. The ex Inter and international goalkeeper, now coaching Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, coached Red Star Belgrade in 2005, winning the championship and cup: "I would have liked to talk about football, instead I can't. It is a complicated matter that concerns life, the world and the future of our children. There is no one reason, but a series of motives, also political that led to this. Only Serbian people can understand, it's impossible to explain. I was very happy at Belgrade, and I still have friends there, who are feeling very bad today".

"Unfortunately football is an excuse for other things. In the end the hoolingans won, they had the visibility that they wanted, in fact everybody's talking about them. But at the same time the real Serbia, the civilised one, has lost. Watching it on TV, you could see many Serbian people scared on the stands".

"We shouldn't generalised to the whole country. The Serb population is scared and is at the mercy of this people.Even the players have been terrorised by these idiots. What should have they done? They tried to calm the people down, if they hadn't done it, they would have been still criticised".

"Prandelli would like to ask the leader of the ultras if he has a family? I can answer that: yes, he has it, but he doesn't care. We cannot continue to be slaves to 1% of people without ideals that ruin the lives of everybody else".
