According to reports in A Bola (via TEAMtalk), Liverpool and Chelsea are set to go head to head this summer to try to sign Porto midfielder Ruben Neves. The 20-year-old is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League and according to the Portuguese journal, this has set off a flurry of activity on Merseyside and West London. It’s understood that both clubs have made contact with the players representatives with Porto believed to be holding out for offers of around £30M.
 

Neves has made 90 appearances for the port side and actually holds the accolade of being the club’s youngest ever captain when he led the side out against Maccabi Tel Aviv back in 2015. He’s already had previous interest from England with both Manchester United and Arsenal known admirers but now it seems as though the focus of interest has shifted towards Antoinio Conte and Jurgen Klopp who look set to lock horns ahead of the new campaign.
