José Mourinho has his say on Cristiano Ronaldo joining Man Utd

José Mourinho talked to assembled media on Saturday night after Manchester United’s friendly game against LA Galaxy. The Red Devils sealed a 2-5 win and the Special One has shared his thoughts on the game after the final whistle.

The Portuguese, however, was also asked questions regarding Man Utd’s summer transfer strategies, especially focusing on a possible return of Cristiano Ronaldo

"We have never thought about it because he is such an important player for his club, of great economic power," Mourinho.

"We have not been able to find for whatever reason that could have made us think that Ronaldo could leave.I am not going to get my club to waste time on players who are mission impossible."

The Special One coached Cristiano Ronaldo during his three-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu but he does not believe that a reunion with the Portuguese star at the Old Trafford is a plausible option for the future.

Cristiano Ronaldo has 84 goals and 34 assists with the Red Devils. He player for Manchester United from 2003 until 2009.
