Jovetic set for Inter exit amid rumours of bad relationship with Mauro Icardi

Inter outcast Stevan Jovetic is set to leave the Meazza hierarchy in the January transfer window. The Montenegro International’s agent released an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday claiming that ‘Inter players decide the team’s lineup’.

Jovetic was left out of yesterday’s squad list to face Sassuolo and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Manchester City ace is set to leave Inter in January. The Italian paper claims that the words of Jovetic’s agent are aimed to attack Mauro Icardi’s status in Inter’s dressing room and that the two strikers are not on good terms anymore.

La Gazzetta dello Sport is sure that the bad relationship between the two strikers will lead to Jovetic’s January exit. Trouble is, there are no clubs interested in signing him at the moment apart from Jiangsu Suning but Jovetic is not open to move to China at this stage of his career.

Jovetic has been struggling with game time under Mancini, De Boer and Pioli and it is hard to believe that his lack of playing time at Inter depends on Mauro Icardi’s will.
