Juve never lose with Khedira on the pitch. German scores as much as Vidal
Khedira joined Juventus in a free transfer last season and has played 27 games with the Serie A giants since then. Impressively, Juventus have never lost one single 90 minute game with Khedira on the pitch. The Germany International was replaced when Juventus were 2-0 up in last year’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
The 29-year-old’s capability of bossing the midfield is second to only a few other midfielders in the world and his devastating impact on Juventus’ attack is comparable to the one of Arturo Vidal.
The Chile International netted 48 goals in 171 games with Juventus with a goal-per-game ratio of 3.5. Khedira’s 7 goals in 27 games highlights a very similar trend. The former Real Madrid ace has scored one goal every 3.8 games.
Khedira has become the perfect replacement for Vidal who left Juventus last season. The German plays in the same position that used to be occupied by the current Bayern Munich star, but given Khedira’s tendency to pick up several muscle injuries throughout the season, both Allegri and Juventus’ medics will have to manage him in the best way possible in order to make him play as much games as possible.
