Juventus are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season which will most likely welcome the return of the Old Lady to Champions League football.

The Bianconeri are currently following Giuseppe Rossi and Michael Essien.

The Italian striker is rapidly recovering from his knee injury which has kept him sidelined for most of the season. Villarreal could allow him to leave especially considering that they will be out of Europe next term.

“When we are talking about big clubs, Juventus is certainly one of them,” explained the player’s agent Federico Pastorello.

Rossi has a contract running until June 2016 with a release clause of €50M but Juve have a good margin for negotiations. Antonio Conte really admirers the New Jersey born player and Beppe Marotta could offer €20M for him.

In the meantime, links between Juve and Essien have also been strong although the player’s agent has denied a Chelsea exit.

“At the moment, there is nothing and I received no offers from Italian clubs,” said Fabien Piveteau.

“I just met the Blues directors and they are happy with my client. Michael has three years left in his contract and no reason to leave. But then of course a lot will depend on who will be the next Chelsea boss.”

    Galliani on Sneijder

Following reports linking the Dutchman to Milan, Vice-President Adriano Galliani denied any links between the player and the Rossoneri.

“We already have two trequartisti, Boateng and Emanuelson,” explained Galliani. “We intend to confirm both of them.”

“I don’t know what Sneijder is thinking, whether he would like to join us or not, but we are covered in that role.”
